DONATION SUGGESTIONS FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

  • School bench: $30 each. Please donate $30 or more. Two (2) students sit on a bench for the whole year. A bench will last about 10 years, so you are helping 20 students at once with your $30 donation.

  • Solar light in the classrooms: Total cost is $2,700. Please donate $10, $20, $30, $40, $50, or more. Students and teachers don’t have electricity in their homes. With the solar electricity, students will stay after class to finish their homework before going back to their families. Teachers will stay after class to grade students' assignments and prepare for the next day studies.

DONATION SUGGESTIONS FOR A VILLAGE HEALTH CLINIC

  • Solar light in the classrooms: Total cost is $1,500. Please donate $10, $20, $30, $40, $50, or more. In the health center, the nurse and the midwife have to use flashlights to deliver babies at night. Solar electricity will help improve their working conditions.

DONATION SUGGESTIONS FOR VOCATIONAL TRADES STUDENT

  • Registration: $300 a year

  • Supplies/tools: $200 once

  • Meals: $300 a year

  • Books (math, biology, physics, chemistry, French, English: $5-$10 each

  • School bags (back packs): $5 each

  • Pen & pencil sets: $5 each

DONATION SUGGESTIONS FOR CLEAN WATER PROJECTS

  • Improved water system: $50,000 total- It will include the construction of a water tank, purchase and installation of solar panels, and distribution of cleaner water at multiple water points. Each water project will benefit more than 2,000 people. Local volunteers will coordinate the project Clean water: improve water wells in villages

DONATION SUGGESTIONS FOR YOUTH LEADERSHIP THROUGH ART IN PORTLAND

  • Summer Arts Camp (5 days) fees: $100 each

  • Weekend Arts Camp (1 day) fees: $25 each

Youth leadership through arts: help to register children 5-15 years to participate in art camps in Oregon. Children develop creativity and community skills.
